New Altar Magazine - Featuring Cherrie and much more

The second issue of Altar Magazine in 2024 is here. Featuring Nordic RnB superstar Cherrie on the cover with an original one on one interview where she talks about the beginnings of her career and life on and off the stage. Read about why she makes music and the emotions she hopes to evoke in her listeners.

This new issue’s overall topic is “music - the lifeblood of Nordic Black culture”. Listening to music and creating music has been and is the main source of our sense of black culture in the Nordic region. Music is how we choose to get together most of the time. When the music we love is present it creates a safe environment that fosters comradery and solidarity.

The issue also covers some of the latest trends in Black fashion as well as the Congo Sapé movement–the east African fashionistas and their history.

Among other artists and personalities featured in the magazine are: Bishat -The RnB star who was nominated for a Swedish Grammy this year, Fitness and Health Guru Joseph Tekie, and rising impressionism painter Victor Ajayi. This and much more.

Altar Magazine is one of few platforms that are dedicated to empower Nordic Black creatives and you can support the magazine simply by ordering it or downloading it in our online shop.

As always we encourage you the reader to seek out and support any and all spaces that create opportunities aiming to result in a stronger Black community and encourage growth amongst our young people.

Thank you for reading and we hope that you enjoy this issue. Don't forget to follow us on social media. Sincerely,

Andrew ”Ndreyah” Naggenda, founder and creative director,
